Dr Wilde\'s full-time NHS experience extends over 30 years and has included roles in community adult mental health and forensic rehabilitation. Also expert witness reporting in Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Occupational Health cases (Claimant, Defendant and SJE instructions) since appointed to current post as consultant clinical psychologist in 1997. Honorary Teacher and Clinical Supervisor on the Doctor of Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) degree programme within the Faculty of Medicine and Science at the University of Sheffield from 2001-2015.

Instructions for Assessment and Evaluation:
Dr Wilde provides assessments specifying and quantifying psychological and/or neuropsychological sequelae arising from:

Comprehensive, detailed and robust reports are based on structured clinical interview, review of clinical records, formal validated psychometric or neurocognitive testing, and psychometric assessment of response bias or sub-optimal performance. Sample anonymised reports provided on request.
Appointments can be arranged within 6-8 weeks of instruction and then reports completed within a further 6-8 weeks thereafter. Dr Wilde welcomes approaches for informal discussion/advice on potential cases.
Instructions for Treatment and Rehabilitation:
Dr Wilde accepts instructions for bespoke treatment and rehabilitation of psychological and neuropsychological injuries under the Rehabilitation Code (2015). Specialist in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuropsychotherapy & Neuropsychological Rehabilitation, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), and Clinical Hypnotherapy.

[Brief_CV2] => Dr Wilde has been in part-time practice as in independent expert witness since 1997, during which period he has completed approximately 300 psychological reports under instruction from solicitors (70 percent Claimant and 30 percent Single Joint Expert instructions). Trained in report writing, courtroom cross-examination skills, and civil law and procedure, Dr Wilde holds the certificate of expert witness accrediation from Cardiff University and Bond Solong legal trainers (CUEW). He is listed in the Directory of Expert Witnesses maintained by the British Psychological Society (BPS), the representative body for psychologists in the UK. He is a member of the Academy of Experts (MAE), a member of the Expert Witness Institute (MEWI), and is also listed in the expert witness directory of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
In addition to his expert witness work, Dr Wilde has been in full-time NHS practice as a chartered clinical psychologist since 1992, obtaining his current full-time NHS post as Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Adult Mental Health with Barnsley Primary Care NHS Trust in 1997. To date, his NHS experience has included appointments in forensic psychology, community mental health, staff trauma and acquired brain injury. Dr Wilde has extensive experience of psychological and neuropsychological assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of adults (16 years+) referred with a wide spectrum of mental health needs and cognitive impairment. Since chartership, he has undergone extensive continuing clinical and research training, attaining several higher qualifications within the adult mental health field and specialist post-doctoral training in clinical neuropsychology (DipClinNeuroPsy) at the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London. He has published scientific research on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Since 2001, Dr Wilde has been an Honorary Teacher on the Faculty of Medicine and Science Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree programme at Sheffield University. He supervises the rotational training placements of doctoral trainees in Clinical Psychology from the Universities of Sheffield and Leicester per year.
Dr WildeĂšs extensive training, clinical experience, and research background gives him an authoritative basis for expert witness work. The comprehensiveness and robustness of his reports is based on a detailed structured clinical interview, full review of clincial records, formal psychometric testing using multiple objective measures, and examination of responses on several empirically derived malingering scales. Dr Wilde draws on 17 post-qualification years experience of clinical and academic psychology, a thorough knowledge of the scientifice evidence base underlying clinical practice, 12 years of expert witness practie and fully accredited training in the legal process from Cardiff University Law School.
