I remain very much ?hands-on? in terms of recruitment and employment through my recruitment consultancy activities. In terms of recruitment and employment, I have interviewed many thousands of candidates from a wide variety of occupations and at all levels.
I am past President of the Institute of Employment Consultants (now Institute of Recruitment Professionals). Throughout my 3-year term I initiated and regularly contributed to debates on issues affecting disabled people. As Chair of the Joint Consultative Council for Recruitment Practice, I enabled the bringing together of relevant organisations concerned with recruitment and employment including the then Department of Education and Employment, the CIPD, the Employers Forum on Disabilities and other industry organisations, as a forum to promote best recruitment practice.
I am a past Chairman of the Recruitment Committee of the Academy of Experts, member of the Executive Committee and of Council and past Vice Chairman.
