[Mediator_CV] => Currently working as an independent mediator based in North Lincolnshire but also working nationally I undertake mediations regarding a range of disputes from neighbour/boundary disputes to multi million pound business issues, including personal injury, clinical negligence and employment issues. To ensure that I am current in my knowledge and approach, I carry out research into current mediation practices nationally and internationally and update my skills regularly. I qualified as a mediator with The Academy of Experts in 2001. I sit on both the Council and Executive committees of The Academy and hold the position of Immediate Past Chairman.
I enjoy a challenge and feel very positive about the benefits of mediation in terms of not only enabling the parties to resolve their dispute with a 'win, win' outcome, but also in terms of reducing costs, time and stress for all concerned, whilst allowing all parties to remain in control of the issues and decisions made.
I am able to offer flexible mediation arrangements with a range of charges relevant to the amount involved in the dispute.

[Brief_CV2] => Currently working as a Healthcare Consultant and Expert Witness I ensure that I keep my skills and knowledge up to date by providing a consultancy service and training in the field of general nursing. To ensure that I am current in my knowledge, I carry out research into current working practices nationally and internationally and encourage those that I am working with to do the same.
I feel very strongly that practice within all aspects of nursing care must be maintained at a high standard and I hope that I am able to support those that I work with to appreciate the benefits of undertaking further development and research with regards to their own field of practice. My work as an Expert Witness requires me to provide clear non biased reports giving an independent opinion regarding the issues in question, and I feel that I am able to achieve this due to my extensive experience and training with regard to my role.
Current roles and responsibilities - Sept 1998 to date
I currently work independently as an Expert Witness for clinical negligence (nursing) and also provide a range of consultancy services within the healthcare and further education which includes medical screening examinations and designing and delivering training in a range of healthcare settings, from basic nursing and residential care to management. I work as a Commercial Mediator for alternative dispute resolution which includes mediating on clinical negligence and personal injury disputes. In respect of my Expert Witness role, I provide reports dealing with clinical negligence, past, current and future care costs in respect of personal injury, and also continuing care issues. I accept work for both claimant and defence.
Besides extensive experience and training within general nursing, I have undertaken a range of training with regard to my role as an Expert Witness, full details of this can be found within this CV. All my reports are CPR compliant and are in the style of the Model Expert Report Form. I sit on the Council and the Disciplinary Committee of The Academy of Experts in London of which I am a full member. The Academy provide training and advice for a range of Expert Witnesses nationally and internationally, as well as being actively involved in advising relevant government and legal bodies on policy and protocols regarding the work of experts, along with other organisations.
