Expert Witness Snapshot

After qualifying as a General Aeronautical Engineer in 1979 I joined Shell in Holland as a Trainee Driller. Moved to Brunei Shell in 1980 then on to British Gas in London, 1985. Started consulting in 1988 and worked in over 40 countries in all Drilling positions up to Drilling Manager. I first got involved in ADR in 2004, an arbitration between my consulting client and a drilling contractor. Joined the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and worked through the International Arbitration training pathway with modules and exams in contract and tort law, rules of evidence, international arbitration law, IA practices and procedures and award writing. I passed the Hunt ADR course on mediation.
