The collection, organisation and critical appraisal of evidence, skills that I have developed through work on my thesis (University of Birmingham), 3 chapters in international textbooks and 42 papers in peer reviewed journals, were very useful in producing my first reports which I have thoroughly enjoyed. My appointment as a Clinical Director for theatres and day surgery for my Trust, which includes a role in clinical risk management, was also a stimulus.
I have attended relevant courses and joined the U.K. Register of Expert Witnesses, vetted by a number of solicitors. Included in the Action for Victims of Medical Accidents database. I have completed the Bond Solon University of Cardiff Expert Witness Certificate. I am a first tier Association of Personal Injury Lawyers Expert. I have completed more than 70 reports. My claimant to defendant ratio is approximately 95:5. I am happy to provide reports in most obstetrics and gynaecological matters with the exception of complex pregnancy scanning and gynaecological cancer cases.
