Experience
Simon is a practicing Chartered Architect and Expert Witness. Experienced in oral evidence and cross-examination he is a dependable and knowledgeable Expert in a range of construction issues. He has operated for many years in the field of Dispute Resolution producing over 40 CPR 35 compliant reports in the last 3 years. He has appeared in Mediations, Tribunals, and Court as an Expert Witness.
As recent CEO of the Brick Development Association he led the industry for both Standards and technical work and gives advice to members of the Association of Brickwork Contractors as an independent expert. He is a Registered CMC Mediator and is on the key BSI committees. Simon has investigated many defects and component failures and provides proposals for remedial actions. He has significant experience in roofing and cladding, including the wider external envelope and general construction.
