[Brief_CV] => Professor Edelmann is a Chartered Psychologist, an HCPC Registered Clinical, Forensic and Health Psychologist, a Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Patron of Anxiety UK. From 1986 until 1997 he was involved in Clinical Psychology training at the University of Surrey where he also directed a Masters programme in Health Psychology and in 1996 established and directed one of the first Masters programmes in Forensic Psychology in the United Kingdom. His current academic appointment is Emeritus Professor of Forensic and Clinical Psychology at the University of Roehampton. In addition to these activities and his international research reputation Professor Edelmann has worked extensively as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. He is a partner of Powell Campbell Edelmann, providing services by contract to institutional bodies; he has also undertaken medico-legal work for the past 33 years (approximately 15% Claimant, 80% Defendant and 5% Joint Instructions). He has over 100 publications including 6 books. His main interests include post traumatic stress disorder, stress at work, anxiety, phobias, depression, psychosexual problems, chronic pain (psychology of), medically unexplained symptoms (psychology of), appearance and self image.
