Peter Oxendale studied at The Royal Academy of Music and Kings College, London.

He has acted as a consultant musicologist and expert witness in copyright matters for more than 40 years and has written numerous reports for use in copyright and related claims. He has acted for most of the major record companies, music publishers and leading music business solicitors as well as many of the major advertising agencies in the UK and abroad. His client list extends to the UK, Europe, South Africa, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA. He currently takes more than400 instructions a year from clients worldwide.
