    [Brief_CV] => Nick is a Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer with 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, and a testifying expert witness.  He started his career working on construction sites whilst studying civil engineering.  He then worked at a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in the UK, qualifying as a Chartered Engineer in 2009.  Nick then began focussing on forensic engineering and dispute resolution work at a specialist consultancy in the UK, and has been working as an Expert Witness since 2012.  He is now a Director at CCi, a global construction consultancy of technical, delay and quantum experts.

Nick has been involved in the forensic examination and appraisal of a wide range of civil and structural technical and contractual issues, ranging from small scale issues with residential properties in the UK (subsidence, basements, water ingress, cause of cracking, defective works, etc), through medium sized claims on residential, commercial and industrial schemes (office buildings, warehouses, distribution/ logistics facilities, etc), to high value delay and disruption disputes on large infrastructure projects throughout the world (airports, civil/highway/metro systems, oil/gas/chemical plants, onshore and offshore wind, solar plants, etc).  He has been appointed as Expert by lawyers, and has acted on behalf of clients, engineers, contractors, insurers and loss adjusters.  Nick provides dispute resolution assistance, advice and expertise, including the preparation of CPR compliant reports on technical issues for submission in court proceedings and for exchange in adjudication and arbitration hearings, and giving oral testimony.  He is also regularly involved in the design and implementation of remedial schemes.
