[Brief_CV] => Nicholas has experience acting as an Expert Witness for complex quantum matters in litigation disputes arising from professional negligence, shareholder disputes, and management buyouts, and has a wealth of experience conducting valuations for SMEs.
He is regularly instructed to prepare quantum reports and financial models to assess and quantify damages, including consequential losses incurred by claimants.
He has acted for over 500 business interruption claimants (SMEs) and as the independent assessor for over 100 mis-sold derivative claims against insurers and financial institutions.
Nicholas also acts as a Single Joint Expert in matrimonial disputes, offering expert guidance in the value of complex assets, such as shareholdings in unquoted companies, to assist the parties in reaching financial settlements.
In his investigations capacity, Nicholas has managed investigations into employee fraud, corruption, Anti-Money Laundering & OFAC compliance, asset misappropriation, reputation due diligence, corporate intelligence and asset tracing, in a wide range of industries and jurisdictions. Nicholas has undertaken Hostile Environment Training and conducted investigations in high-risk jurisdictions including Afghanistan, Ukraine and Russia.
