I am a Consultant Psychiatrist and Senior Lecturer in Psychological Medicine at GuyÚs and Lewisham Hospitals in the University of London.
I specialize in liaison (General Hospital Consultation) Psychiatry in addition to Adult General Psychiatry. I have special interests in chronic pain, psychosomatic disorders, mood disorders (especially depression), forensic psychiatry and neuropsychiatric, including the neuropsychiatric of brain and spinal cord injury.
I am actively involved in research in these areas, and have published numerous scientific papers and give lectures in many countries. I trained in neuropathology at the University of Glasgow, where
I gained special experience in the pathology of head injury. I trained in Psychiatry in London. I am a Member of the Royal College of psychiatrists, and was awarded the Gaskell Gold Medal and Prize of that College in 1991.
I am on the list of Accredited Specialists in psychiatry held by the General Medical Council. I have extensive experience in preparing medical reports and in appearing in Court.
