Mark has forty yearsâ?? experience of working in the agricultural industry, initially in practical farming and then as a farm management consultant before entering the accountancy profession. Mark trained and worked in â??Big 4â?? accountancy firms, working primarily with agricultural clients, before setting up his own practice specialising in accountancy, strategic advice and forensic accounting in the agriculture and food industries. Recently Mark has joined a mid-tier firm, Old Mill.
Mark has been providing forensic accounting and expert witness services in disputes relating to farming, food and related businesses on quantum, business valuation and accountancy matters for over twenty years. He frequently acts in commercial, partnership, shareholder, landlord and tenant, banking and matrimonial disputes where there is an agricultural element. He has given oral evidence in the High Court and in lower courts and tribunals, and has provided written evidence for the European Court of Justice and the Parliamentary Ombudsman.
