Expert Witness Snapshot

Mark Ballamy is a Chartered Accountant and the senior partner of Ballamy LLP. He is an Accredited Accountant Expert Witness and is an ICAEW-Accredited Forensic Accountant.

Mark has over 30 years' experience in forensic accounting during which time he has gained considerable experience of preparing expert's reports and of giving expert evidence in both the criminal and civil Courts. He also has experience of giving expert evidence in other jurisdictions.

In the civil Courts Mark has experience of acting for both claimants and defendants in cases including financial reporting irregularities, allegations of fraud, money laundering, misappropriation of assets, intellectual property infringements, together with a wide variety of shareholder disputes. He is also experienced in the quantification of damages.

In the criminal Courts Mark has been instructed, by both the prosecution and defence, in many high profile fraud cases involving false accounting, fraudulent trading, conspiracy to defraud, money laundering, corruption, false statements by companies' directors and allegations of misleading companies' auditors.
