    [Brief_CV] => An experienced medically qualified clinical microbiologist who has made a significant contribution to national agendas and policy working  groups on clinical  microbiology and infection prevention and control matters.

Particular areas of interest include endocarditis and spinal infection. I undertake weekly endocarditis and spinal infection ward rounds and am involved in  on-going  patient  care with the hospital at home team.

I am closely involved with  our regional burns and plastics  unit,  contributing  to the burns intensive care. MDT.   I work with a regional ENT team and also a busy maternity and paediatric unit. In addition,  I am regularly involved with general medical and surgical patients.   This includes management of sepsis and its source control, diabetic foot problems, osteomyelitis and septic arthritis.  I work with the orthopaedic team to provide input into managing  patients with bone and joint infection and  on- going care.

From April 2018   I  led   the setting up and running of the infection component  at  the new   Anglia Ruskin University  Medical School   in Chelmsford.  I  lecture   on this course and am also  involved in bedside teaching.

I   currently write 40 - 50 medico-legal reports a year, 90% for the  Claimant. I comply with the Civil Procedure Rules  and  Practice Direction Part 35.  I  have undergone  medico-legal training  (Cardiff Expert Witness Certificate   2007).  I complete at least one  medico-legal training course a year. I have experience in  joint expert meetings and  court attendance.

I am fully insured with the MPS for my work as an expert witness (number 182986) and comply - with data protection  (Information commissioner registration number:  ZA338577).
