This experience includes the management of multi million pound projects; undertaking various pre-acquisition surveys including Level 2 and Level 3 building surveys of residential property; building surveys of commercial property; stock condition surveys on educational and housing assets; and the provision of strategic property advice and technical due diligence on behalf of owners, occupiers, investors and funding institutions.
Julian has completed the Legal Experience Training Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence and have prepared several CPR compliant expert witness reports either as a single joint expert or a sole expert. This includes disputes over professional negligence, poor building works, housing disrepair, rights of way and boundary related disputes with neighbours. Instructing solicitors include Weightmans, Clyde and Co, Trowers & Hamlins, Irwin Mitchell, CMS Cameron McKenna, DAS, DLG, DWF, Clarkes, Terry Jones, Lanyon Bowdler and Graham Withers.
Julian has been a RICS Registered Valuer since 2012 and routinely undertake red book valuations of residential property as well as valuations for matrimonial proceedings, probate, shared ownership, help to buy and disputes including diminution in value assessments.
Prior to forming Record Associates in 2012, Julian was a Director in Deloitte’s Construction advisory business and Partner at Drivers Jones with responsibility for the Project Management and Building Consultancy practice across the Midlands.
