My interests have been in inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, desophageal disorders, peptic ulcer disease and colorectal cancer. I am an experienced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopist.
In addition I led a research group for a similar period. Our main interests have been in ethnic minority health care, better patienty information and the aetiology of chronic gastrointestinal disease.
I was editor of the Postgraduate Medical Journal. This gave me an interest in on-going education of doctors, clinical audit and research fraud.
My law degree helped me to crystallise clinical and research expertise into the setting of being an expert in clinical disputes, negligence and insurance related problems. I subsequently was called to the Bar at Lincoln\'s Inn and practice criminal law as a barrister
