John is a Council Member and Officer of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS), and a member of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) Technical Committee TC5 on Environmental Geotechnics.  John has published 36 papers on Geotechnical Engineering and Geosynthetics.
