Clinical and Research Interests:
I practice general obstetrics and gynaecology with special research and clinical interests in fibroids, endometrial hyperplasia, endometriosis, "keyhole" surgery (laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and endoscopic surgery), advanced complex gynaecological surgery and advanced surgical abortion.
Publications:
Author of over 175 research papers, book chapters, reviews and books and over 100 lectures and presentations to learned societies on clinical and research interests. I am Editor-in-Chief of European Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Clinical and Research Interests:
I practice general obstetrics and gynaecology with special research interests in Gynaecological Minimal Access "keyhole" Surgery (laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and endoscopic surgery). My expertise is in benign gynaecology which incorporates menstrual disorders such as menorrhagia (heavy periods), endometriosis, and fibroids.
I also have a Regional Referral Centre and expertise in outpatient diagnosis and therapy of abnormal uterine bleeding in a "one-stop" "see and treat" Rapid Access Ambulatory Diagnosis (RAAD) clinic i.e. exclusion of endometrial cancer in women with postmenopausal bleeding, diagnosis and treatment of polyps and fibroids by hysteroscopic surgery in women who have unscheduled bleeding on hormone replacement therapy or menorrhagia.
Evidence-Based Practice - I have a large research group in my Centre for Systematic Reviews (CSR) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
