As an expert witness she has acted for both claimants and defendants in matters relating to e-commerce systems, ERP, Business Intelligence and other systems, usually assessing causes of delay, fitness for purpose, assessment of procurement processes and analysis of software quality. Law firms she has worked with include Bristows, CMS, DLA, Pinsent Mason, RPC and many others. Gill has given evidence in court and in arbitrations, most recently in TCS v DBS, Topalsson v Rolls Royce and CISGIL v IBM, all in the TCC.
Gill has also acted in matters relating to intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, misuse of confidential information and software licensing, .
Alongside her expert practice Gill continues to work on live IT projects and update her technical skills. This work has included project management of an ERP implementation, due diligence of a variety of IT infrastructures for M&A and the development of an e-commerce website, mobile Apps and practical applications of artifical intelligence techniques.

[Brief_CV2] => I am an IT professional with over 15 years practical experience gained working for clients in a wide range of vertical markets, including retail, manufacturing, finance, government, defence, telecommunications and media. My technical experience is founded on time spent as a programmer, system manager, technical trainer and consultant for major software and technology vendors, including Inter graph, Ingres, and Informix. The main technical focus of my work has been database and systems design and the relationship of technology to the business requirement. In recent years I have worked, from the vendor side, on many procurement exercises, both formal and informal, and have advised on the technical feasibility, cost and commercial risk of projects in Data Warehousing, Content Management and E-Commerce. I have also been responsible for the delivery of such projects.
I have acted for both claimants and defendants in matters relating to web based case management systems, mobile network monitoring systems, data migration, ERP, Retail Point of Sale systems and copyright issues in internet applications, databases and other programs. These cases have generally been in the Β£1-12million range and have involved issues such as assessing causes of delay, fitness for purpose, assessment of procurement processes and analysis of software quality. I have worked with a number of law firms, including Baker McKenzie, DLA, Bird and Bird, Nabarro, Pinsent Mason, Freshfields and Clifford Chance.
