Forensic accountancy experience
I have specialised in Forensic Accountancy/Litigation work for 29 years and have acted as an expert witness on hundreds of occasions. I have given evidence on the substance of my reports.
I act for both Claimants and Defendants. I am instructed as an advisor, party expert, single joint expert or shadow expert.
I have been instructed in numerous commercial matters involving shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, loss of profit claims and by the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales to value shareholdings and to determine other disputes.
Examples of such cases include: -
Acting as expert for a company involved in vehicle recovery against the police for early termination of contract.
Acting as expert for a finance company defending an action brought against them for supply of defective products.
Acting as advisor and valuing a shareholding for buyout purposes on director dismissal.
Expert determination arising from disputed completion accounts.
Assessing loss of profits following destruction of a legal office.
My personal injury/fatal accident experience is extensive and varied. Losses considered by my reports include earnings, profits, benefits (including stock options) and pensions. I have lectured on the subject of personal injury quantum to legal professionals and insurance companies and my articles have been published by APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) and PMILL (Personal and Medical Injuries Law Letter).
Notable cases include: -Acting as single joint expert in fatal accident involving Indian shipping director. Case involved investigations in Mumbai.
Acting as single joint expert and party expert in two different cases involving potential golfing professionals.
Acting as party expert in cases involving Hillsborough and Potters Bar disaster victims.
Acting as party expert in case involving fund investment manager.
Acting as party/single join expert in cases involving a full breadth of occupations from drivers to consultants.
