He graduated in Economics from the University of Manchester. He trained and qualified (1985) as a Chartered Accountant with a "big four" firm. He has undertaken corporate finance and corporate recovery work, and has occupied a senior financial position within industry. He was a forensic accounting partner of "top 20" accountancy firms for many years before setting up his own specialist firm in 2010.

Mr Djanogly is an Accredited Expert Witness and gives evidence in the High Court, County Court and Crown Court, and in arbitrations (including international commercial arbitrations). He is appointed by either side of a dispute or by the parties jointly (for example: 4 Eng Ltd v Harper & Anor [2008] EWHC 915 (Ch) (29 April 2008)). He also advises in mediations and expert determinations.

In addition he is an experienced Chartered Arbitrator and qualified expert determiner. As a specialist in business related disputes he is a member of the dispute panels of a number of arbitral and professional institutes including: LCIA, ICC, ICAEW, CIArb and the Academy of Experts. He receives panel appointments or is appointed directly by parties to provide private binding solutions in a variety of matters including the types of cases mentioned below.

Mr Djanogly is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). He is a Full Member of the Academy of Experts, a Founding Member of the Expert Witness Institute, a committee member of the Forensic Special Interest Group of the ICAEW, a member of the London Branch of the CIArb, and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators.

He publishes articles on forensic accounting and expert witness issues, as well as on arbitration, expert determination and ADR generally. He is author of practice guidance for members of the Forensic Group of the ICAEW on the role of the forensic accounting in both expert determination and arbitration, and writes for the GroupÚs newsletter (for example: "Expert adviser v expert witness"). He also chairs or speaks at seminars for lawyers and others.
