I practised as a site-based Quantity Surveyor delivering live construction projects between 1999 and 2012, before moving into consultancy and specialising in dispute avoidance and dispute resolution from 2012 onwards. I am now routinely instructed in litigation, arbitration and adjudication, providing both expert witness and expert advisory services on complex construction, engineering and insurance disputes.
I have a clear understanding of the demands placed on experts in formal proceedings and recognise the need to be flexible, forensic and articulate when providing written and oral evidence, for the benefit of the parties and the court or tribunal. I adopt a proactive and practical approach when engaging with instructing solicitors, tribunals and opposing experts, while consistently upholding the independence, objectivity and professional standards required of an accredited expert witness and Chartered Quantity Surveyor.
