I am the Managing Director of Jewellery Advisory Services Ltd, Hatton Garden, London EC1N 8JY and have held the position since 1998 when the company was first established.
I have more than 49 years of experience in various aspects of the Jewellery industry and Horological field, as well as jewellery forensics, I appraise and carry out assessments of all jewellery, Polished diamonds and other Gemstones including the analysis and evaluation of precious metals, watches and clocks, silver, and silverware, including mayoral regalia. I am one of a number of people in the United Kingdom with the skills to advise on the assessment and quality of Rough Diamonds.
More than 24 years dealing with Insurance Claims Investigation, Validation and I am fully competent in historical investigative evaluation of Jewellery and watches, resulting in many successful defence and prosecutions for insurers and for all Government Enforcement Agencies.
I am current Chair of the National Association of Jewellers, “Institute of Registered Valuers Community Group” and current Chair of the “Professional and Technical Standards Steering Group”.
In 1991, I was elected as a National Association of Goldsmiths Registered Valuer. In 2008, I was one of the first appointed Expert Jewellery Advisors to the Home Office National Policing Improvement Agency. (NPIA). In 2013, I was appointed Expert for National Crime Agency. (NCA).
In 2014, I became a tutor to the Institute of Registered Valuer’s Certificate of Appraisal Theory (CAT) Programme and continue tutoring for the NAJ, Higher National Level “Foundation of Appraisal Practice” (FoAP). In 2016, I was appointed to The National Association of Jewellers, Education Steering Group; now Members of the Qualifications Standing Group.
