[Brief_CV] => As a qualified Midwife since 1992, I have experience of working in all areas of midwifery practice. My current professional practice involves working as a clinical and practice support midwife at a local consultant led maternity unit (with co-located midwifery led facilities) one day every week and as core multi-disciplinary teaching faculty for the provision of whole Trust Maternity mandatory education.
An additional professional midwifery activity involves being a national Newborn Life Support (NLS) instructor for the Resuscitation Council (UK). This role involves teaching newborn resuscitation as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
I have successfully achieved the Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert Witness Certificate in 2009 (Holborn, London) and Bond Solon Criminal Expert Witness Certificate in 2023. I have experience of compiling over 600 midwifery expert reports for both defendant and claimant cases, conferences with Counsel, Expert\'s meetings and attendance at Coroner’s Court to give evidence. Since 2023 I provide midwifery reports for the CPS and police forces across the UK.

My current professional practice involves working as both clinical bank Midwife within the local NHS Maternity unit(s) and as a part-time Senior Lecturer teaching midwifery to student midwives and qualified midwives (continuing midwifery education).
My additional professional midwifery activities involve having Advisory faculty status and Instructor status for Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (UK) for 15 years. In addition, I am a Newborn Life Support instructor with the Resuscitation Council (UK). These roles involve teaching obstetric emergencies and newborn resuscitation as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
