In this online Member Meeting, Minesh Tanna will be delivering his annual update on AI for the Academy, this being the fourth iteration of this talk. 

The talk will include an update on AI technologies, uses and risks, also addressing how AI use in legal proceedings is attracting increasing attention worldwide.

The talk will also focus on the Academy’s recently-published Guidance for Expert Witnesses on the use of Artificial IntelligenceMinesh will summarise the key points from this Guidance and provide practical tips on experts’ use of AI in their work.

Minesh Tanna is a Partner and Global AI Lead at the international law firm, Simmons & Simmons. He is also Chair of The Academy of Experts’ Membership Vetting Committee.

Minesh is recognised as a leading AI lawyer. He is Chair of the Society for Computers and Law (SCL) AI Group and Chair of the City of London Law Society (CLLS) AI Committee.

As well as advising clients in this area, he is a regular speaker, lecturer and media commentator on AI law, and has contributed chapters to various textbooks on the subject.
