SUMMARY:Navigating the Expert Witness Arena
DESCRIPTION:The Academy of Experts and Foil will be running a joint event i
 n Belfast aimed at existing experts and professionals from any discipline 
 who are considering becoming expert witnesses. It will give a practical in
 sight into what courts and instructing lawyers expect from expert witnesse
 s\, with guidance on duties to the court\, working effectively with legal 
 teams\, setting clear terms of engagement and using AI appropriately in ex
 pert work\n\n 	Delegates will hear from a Presiding High Court Judge on ju
 dicial expectations and the duties of expert witnesses to the court.\n 	An
  expert speaker will then address the practical aspects of expert witness 
 work\, including relationships with instructing lawyers\, terms and condit
 ions\, and the appropriate use of AI tools.\n 	The event will conclude wit
 h a panel discussion offering both legal professional and expert witness p
 erspectives on their respective roles in litigation.\n\nThere will also be

 Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) is a professional membership organisation represe
