SUMMARY:Expert Evidence in the Competition Appeal Tribunal
DESCRIPTION:Expert evidence plays a central role in many proceedings before
  the Competition Appeal Tribunal\, where complex questions of economics\, 
 valuation\, accounting\, technology and market behaviour can be critical t
 o the issues the Tribunal has to determine.\n\nThis session will examine t
 he particular approach taken to expert evidence in the CAT\, including the
  Tribunal’s expectations of experts\, the preparation and presentation o
 f expert evidence\, interaction between opposing experts and the practical
  issues that can arise during proceedings.\n\nWith the introduction of the
  CAT’s dedicated Practice Direction on Expert Evidence\, the session wil
 l also consider how the Tribunal’s approach is developing and what those
  acting as experts\, or instructing them\, need to know.
